The Penguins rookie team lost by a score of 3-0 to the Ottawa Senators this afternoon, despite outshooting the young Senators 37-25. With the win, the Senators are guaranteed to advance to tomorrow’s championship game. The Penguins, now 2 for 3, are awaiting the outcome of the Toronto/Florida game at 6:30 this evening to determine whether they will take on Ottawa in the championship game. Unless Florida beats Toronto by 4 or more goals, Pittsburgh will get the other spot in the championship game. Goaltender David Brown gave up one goal in each period of the shutout.
